چکیده
Supported gold and platinum particles on titanium oxide catalysts were evaluated in the oxidative depolymerization of lignins toward high added value aromatics under mild conditions (T: 150 °C, Pair: 20 bar, CNaOH: 10 g/L, 1 h). Kraft ethanol Organosolv engaged study. Gold catalyst showed a strong tendency to further oxidize produced from lignin volatile compounds leading very low yield target molecules. On contrary, platinum-based allowed observe enhanced yields that attributed its ability preserve lignin’s substructure during reaction. A kinetic model was constructed based results observed, which us identify occurrence condensation reactions oxidation degradation aromatic as main limitations reach product yields. Insights catalyst’s role lead through this study would help higher control over valorization.

Non-oxidative conversion of methane to aromatics over modified zeolite catalysts by transitional metals
The activity of different transitional metals over modified H-ZSM-5 catalysts for methane conversion to aromatics was compared. The first group of catalysts was Mo-impregnated H-ZSM-5 zeolites with 1, 3 and 6 wt% of Mo. The second group was M(3 wt%)- impregnated H-ZSM-5 (M: Ag, Cd, Cr, Mo, Zn and Mn). The catalytic activity of the first group was investigated at 600, 700 and 800 °C and gas hour...

The literature of olefin metathesis by heterogeneous supported catalysts, both industrial-type supported metal oxides (ReOx/Al2O3, ReOx/(SiO2−Al2O3), MoOx/SiO2, MoOx/Al2O3, MoOx/(SiO2−Al2O3), WOx/SiO2, and WOx/ (SiO2−Al2O3)) and supported organometallic complexes, is comprehensively reviewed. The focus of this Review is supported metal oxide catalysts, but the well-defined supported organometal...
متن کاملBond cleavage of lignin model compounds into aromatic monomers using supported metal catalysts in supercritical water
More efficient use of lignin carbon is necessary for carbon-efficient utilization of lignocellulosic biomass. Conversion of lignin into valuable aromatic compounds requires the cleavage of C-O ether bonds and C-C bonds between lignin monomer units. The catalytic cleavage of C-O bonds is still challenging, and cleavage of C-C bonds is even more difficult. Here, we report cleavage of the aromatic...
متن کاملStrong interactions in supported-metal catalysts.
Many commercially important catalysts consist of small metal particles dispersed on inorganic oxide surfaces. Although in most cases there is no significant interaction between the metal and the support, strong bonding can be demonstrated in a recently discovered class of supported-metal catalysts. These cases typically involve group VIII metals dispersed on transition metal oxides whose surfac...
